Websites that do their job.
Most small business sites are slow, hard to update, and built more for the agency that made them than for the people who use them. We build the opposite.
Your website is usually the first thing a potential customer sees. If it loads slowly, looks dated, or makes them work to figure out what you do, they leave. There's no second chance on the open web.
Sound familiar? You know the site needs work. You've maybe even started a rebuild twice. But every quote you get is either a five-figure black box or a template that won't grow with you. We're the middle option: properly built, honestly priced, and yours to run after launch.
What's included
- 01Strategy and structure: what the site needs to do before we touch design
- 02Visual design built for your brand, with no off-the-shelf templates
- 03Build on a modern stack (Next.js, Webflow, or Shopify, depending on what fits)
- 04Mobile-first, accessible (AODA-aware for Ontario businesses), fast Core Web Vitals
- 05Copywriting if you want it, or we work with what you give us
- 06Analytics, conversion tracking, and basic SEO setup so day one is measurable
- 07Hosting setup, domain configuration, and clear handoff documentation
- 08Optional: ongoing care plan for updates, security, and content changes
Our process
- 01
Discovery
We get on a call and learn what your business does, who you sell to, and what's broken about the current setup. Usually 60 to 90 minutes.
- 02
Strategy and structure
Site map, page-by-page intent, the call-to-action ladder. We agree on this before any pixels move.
- 03
Design
Real designs of real pages. You see the homepage, a key inner page, and the mobile experience before we build anything.
- 04
Build
Production-ready code on the right platform for your team. Staged so you can review pages as they ship. No overwhelming dump at the end.
- 05
Launch and handoff
Pre-launch checklist (analytics, schema, redirects, sitemap, search console). After launch, you get documentation and a 30-day support window included.
Who this is for
- →Small businesses replacing a site that's aged out: Squarespace or WordPress sites that are slow, hard to update, or no longer match the business
- →Founders launching something new who need a credible web presence without enterprise overhead
- →Professional services firms (law, accounting, consulting) where the site has to convert qualified leads
- →Local businesses that need to show up in Google for service+city searches
What this isn't
Looking for a $500 logo and a template site by Friday? We're probably not the right fit, and we'll tell you that on the call. Some projects are better served by Squarespace and a designer for a weekend. If that's you, we'd rather save you the money than take it.
Common questions
- How much does a website cost?
- Most website projects land in our standard $5,000 to $10,000 CAD project range. Larger builds with deeper integrations or custom functionality run higher. We quote the full scope after the discovery call. No surprise line items later, and we tell you up front if your budget calls for a different approach.
- How long does it take?
- Four to eight weeks from kickoff to launch is typical. Two weeks of discovery and strategy, two to four weeks of design and build, one to two weeks of revisions and pre-launch QA. Faster is possible if you can move quickly on feedback. We're honest about timelines. If something's going to slip, you hear it from us before it happens.
- What platform will you build on?
- We pick the platform that fits the team who'll maintain it. Next.js if you want maximum performance and have technical capacity. Webflow if you want to update content yourself without touching code. Shopify if you sell products. Whatever you can run after we hand it over. That's the only criterion that matters.
- Will the site rank in Google?
- We build the technical foundation: fast Core Web Vitals, semantic HTML, structured data, sitemap, robots, schema. That gets you to the starting line. Ranking past that depends on content, backlinks, and time. If ranking is the primary goal, look at our Search & AI Optimization service alongside the build.
- Do you offer ongoing care?
- Yes. Care plans run $300 to $1,000 CAD per month depending on scope, and cover hosting, security patches, framework updates, content changes, performance monitoring, and a few hours of small enhancements each month. Most clients keep us on care for a year or two after launch. It's the part that turns a one-time project into peace of mind.
